At Road America I managed to hang out with quality folks with the Byer's
Special (a Volvo powered fiberglass special from California)
Warren Pierce (Crew) and Ole Anderson (Driver) introduced me to their friend
from Elkhart Lake.

It turns out that Paul Ebert was the recipient of 1962 Spitfire with
California Provenance, driven by a well know TR guy. It was willed to him and
it is
still in the state that it was when raced in the 60s. Paul plans to bring it up
to Vintage Racing specifications through the winter and introduce it at
MOTRAH-007 in May at Road America. I think he can use our support.
Spitfire Pilots Errnie, Scott & Tom are less than an hour or so from Elkhart
Lake, I believe.
That being said, I would like to nominate Paul Ebert of Elkhart as OUR MAN IN
ELKHART LAKE.
