To be honest, I never checked if the oil is special for that purpose.
I use
Mobil 1 5w50 rally - favorite because I get it a little cheaper
or
Castrol 10w60
Both do well.
I had some trouble and worn cams "before" I started to use flat lifters.
When I bought that cam in year 2007 I first ran it with crowned lifters and
found that lobe #7 became a little damage. Then I grinded the lifters flat
and installed them again bearing in mind that the damaged lobe 7 wouldn't
last.
BUT there is no change at lobe 7 since then and all other lobes are in
perfect condition with the flat lifters and even the lifter on lobe 7 seems
to feel very comfort this way.

I can provide photos if you like.

Cheers
Chris

Chris - Are you using oil with a high ZDDP level, or do you use an additive
which increases the ZDDP for your "flat tappet" engine ?
