I sent a message last year stating that Kas had given me a copy of the
homologation papers for the TR4 and that I could send PDF copies to anyone
that wanted them. They state that 45 DCOE Webers are homologated for use in
the USA.

As far as I know, putting webers on a a TR4 produces a class of car that was
never in production racing, it was however in D-Modified, where I'm sure the
rules were a little more liberal (wider wheels and minimum weight rules? I
hope Kas chimes in). So now my questions becomes, can we prepare to the
D-Modified rule set and still be eligible for 3CP? For the "in the spirit"
folk, it' would be closer to fact than bolting webers on a DP car and
calling it a "CP" car.

It is however still racing. If no one thinks the front runners aren't
testing, constantly tweaking, showing up with the best cars within the rule
set, and driving them at 10/10's, then they are mistaken. . A lot of those
guys were front runners in SCCA and IMSA, and that's the ONLY way they know
how to go racing. Just like playing games in gym class... somebody has to
win.
