There will be three of the historic Ambros at Heartland Park next weekend.
Newly restored V-8 powered AMBRO of Mike Fuchs.....OMAHA. Mike will be driving
it on track. It's appearance is being coordinated by FOT Bill Redinger of
OMAHA.
HOT and FAST V-8 powered AMBRO-DIO of Bill Bonadio.....OKLAHOMA CITY. Bill is
having a hip replacement on Friday and he may only have it on display.
Newly finished TR4 powered AMBRO of A.R.E.......JESUP, IOWA. This a racing
debut with this car..
BILL AMES MEMORIAL: The Bill Ames Memorial plaque will be passed from Larry
Young to the next recipient, at the HVGP.
This plaque is in honor of BILL AMES, one of the originators of the AMBRO,
along with Dewey Brohaugh. (Ames and Brohaugh are recognized in Harold Pace's
American Road Racing Specials) Bill had the talent and spirit we have in the
FOT. In his 60s he left us in 1998.
