Made all measurements in the shop yesterday:

MAHLE piston and stuff 86mm+0.040'' (86.97mm for a 87.02 liner, 0.05mm
clearance):

Piston complete 719 gr
Pin 141
Rings 38
Clips 2
Piston blank  538 gr

My custom made Diamond pistons are 87mm and weigh 469 grams, without pins or

Just checked Mahle pistons sitting on the bench, these are 86mm+ .040'' and
they weight 676 (1) and 680 grams (3).
What is the weight of the stock pistons, and the weight of the Hepolite, or
from other reputable brands?

Good information Greg. I remember weighing  a set of these Mahle pistons
years ago and could not believe how heavy they were.  Never used them.
Hepolites were my fittings.
