The lead should not be an issue, but like anything they can go bad.  Make sure
that the wire connections are all clean.  It would not take much corrosion to
change the readings.  Only use the original connections and wires.  Joe(B)

Would E.G.T. probes become faulty over 2-3 years running leaded 110 octane?
I've
rebuilt my engine, fabricated another intake manifold for my rebuilt Joe
Curto
carburetors and still have mixed up readings. Too hot or too low registration
between 1 cylinder and 6 cylinder readings.
