2002 Chevy Avalanche with 5.3 liter V8 auto trans, towing my double deck
open trailer loaded with two Spitfires and a full complement of gear and
tools gets 9 to 11 MPG at a constant 70 to 80 MPH, depending entirely on
wind direction and the grade.

It pulls down a lot up a steep grade (such as going up the mountain to
Breckenridge last summer) but on flat pavement it goes fine at whatever the
posted speed limit is.
