I heard an interesting argument years ago to the effect that you do NOT wan=
t patches sewn on using Nomex thread. Because the patch itself is NOT flam=
e resistant=2C the theory goes=2C why would you want it firmly=0A=
attached to you while it burns? Better to use regular cotton thread which=
will burn away and allow the burning patch to drop off.=0A=

I was looking for a shop to sew on some patches and have my name put on my =
new drivers suit with embroidery. A racer friend suggest Corki=92s Embroid=
ery in Newport Beach=2C CA (they have a website). All work was done in abo=
ut two weeks with=0A=
Nomex thread (very important) and the price was great. My understanding i=
s that this is the go-to shop for racers in Southern California. Very nice=
people and excellent workmanship. If you need this service and can=92t fi=
nd a local shop keep these folks in=0A=
