Ok...i've sat here and typed this probably 10-15 times...either computer
keeps crashing or i'm not sure i really want to do this.  but here it
goes.  I've decided to sell the black spitfire as well.  I have bought a
new car and just don't have room for the spitfire and all its stuff.  While
i don't really want to part it out (and if i do you'll need to be patient
as I am still in India).

Car would be tough to convert back to vintage spec, all fibreglass and I
don't have the steel parts

History of the car.  Was built in 1983 in colorado region by Robin Burke,
it was raced in 84/85 and was parked until i bought it in 99.  I tore it
apart and rebuilt in 03 and have run it since then.  The car is a blast to
drive.  It's quick  it handles excellent and it looks pretty cool!

2013 Northern Conference Majors Champion and Cen-Div Points Championship,
2nd or 3rd in national points I can't remember.  8th at runoffs in 2013
even with some misfire issues. Non-Runoffs Track Record for Pro-Course at
Mid Ohio in HP.  1:42.7 on 4 weekend old tires, Runoffs record from 2003 is
a 1:41.07 when the track was much better!  Held MIS track record before the
reconfigure which took the dogleg out before the oval and added curbing.

so here it goes

Specs:
Spitfire 1500 at min Weight with 250lb (yes i'm fat) driver and no fuel and
no ballast since they lowered Weight
Uses a weber 32/36 downdraught on canon manifold
Engine is currently being rebuilt and will have zero time it, but needs 2
months to finish
ReK Racing Gearbox - hewland dog box internals with fully interchangeable
ratios without removing full trans currently being rebuilt
Custom ReK racing water pump setup using midget water pump and aluminum
housing and gilmer drive
Welded 3.27 rear end (sounds odd but I'll explain later if interested)
Summers rear axles built by Feller
Discs all around. Spit fronts with ht-10 pads and rear X1/9 discs with
dynalite singles and ht-10 pads
4 (or 5) sets of 13x6 revolutions - tires are all used up from last year -
will need tires (there might be more rims...i really don't know)
Gearbox is custom ReK racing box with hewland mk9 gears and dogs. 100%
ohaul being done now
Front suspension - all spherical bearings except upper ball joint. modified
stock a arms
1" sway bar
Avo shocks (which work well but should be replaced. I know the guy who can
do it) shocks all spherical bearings except for upper front mount.
Custom aluminum radiator.
Currently being converted to electromotive ignition 2 spare electromotive
hpv-1s with huffaker triggers
All auto meter gauges except westach egt
5" quartermaster pro clutch on a quartermaster steel flywheel
8 gallon atl cell with holly fuel pump and large fram filter
Will need a seat because I love the one in it too much

Current state.
Three things were in the list to finish before i left for india that i can
remember
1) electromotive trigger setup which engine builder will finish
2) new or modified trans tunnel. I put a super trick new gear shift on it
and needs trans tunnel modified
3) because of trans tunnel mods needs the switch panel moved in the car

Spares. Everything spit I have. Blocks heads cranks enough gaskets for a
lifetime
Diffs. Rear fenders. Water pump. Bearings stock diffs.
1 bonnet and air dam slightly different than current setup flared not
bubble
2 of Every main and corrector jet from 135 to 200
2 sets of rotors. 4 or 5 sets of brake pads
Spare fuel pump
2 new quartermaster steel flywheels. 2 new clutch setups plus a spare disc
or two
6 hewland/webster gear sets plus those in box
Cool trolley for spare engine, trans and diff
I would have to inventory everything. I have pics of the basement stuff!
