OK. This one is for all the TR7/8 aficionados!

 

Something that I was unaware of was the fact there are 2 different styles of
TR7 Front Strut Legs?

 

The set I have are a WET strut. That is having Oil inside the leg and the
shock cartridge working inside the leg. Internal bore size for this style of
strut leg  is approximately 41 mm

 

The ones that take the cartridge style shock insert are 41 mm Internal
diameter.

 

Anyone know why the two styles? Early/Late style/type etc.? 

 

Kind of made trying to fit my new GAZ shock inserts a non event!
