Last month, Kas, Peg, and I sat down and discussed future Kastner Cups.
Brilliant planning and executing is going on with Brian Garcia and Jason
Ostrowski for Blackhawk Farms, so there wasn't much to discuss for the 2017
Kastner Cup. We did spend some time discussing trophies and awards. Peggy
Kastner is, once again, sponsoring marque and special awards.
KCup 2018: Exciting news for 2018. Time, Venue, and Chairperson will be
announced at Kastner Cup 2018. We are looking at the continuation of the
Kastner Cup on a year by year basis. Kas is pleased that we have a Chairperson
in place that will sustain and perhaps elevate the prominence of The Kastner
Cup Series. It's a tribute to Kas and Peg....and all us.
BRITISH SPORTS CAR HALL OF FAME: The Class of 2017 has several prominent
Triumph folks as Inductees. Kas Kastner, Bob Tullius, Mike Cook & Robert Johns
are notable, with several others having past relationships with The Triumph
Marque.
The Class of 2018 nominees include no less than 10 FOT Members and perhaps
there will be more. Nominations are Open. The present emphasis is being placed
on LIVING nominees that are now actively promoting the BRITISH CAR HOBBY. (Nice
to recognize people when they are still living)
