Gary -

The Triumph 1-3/4 H6s have one of the float chambers
located on the wrong side, so you can't use the float
chamber connection pipe between the two for a 100. I
think the choke levers use a different setup too.
100M H6s will have the float chambers in the same
orientation as the Stock H4s (i.e. both facing car
forward).

Moss made the same mistake and was selling Triumph H6s
as 100M upgrades a couple of years ago... until they
got enough complaints and figured it out.

The difference between the stock manifold and the 100M
manifold is the throat size is different... obviously.
If you get manifolds be sure to get the carb
insulators too. They have to be the right thickness
otherwise the float chamber connectors won't line up
correctly.

Main advantage of installing higher compression
pistons is more horsepower, drawback is you have to
use higher octane fuel/$$$.

The 100M cam and 100M distributor are balanced to work
with each other, so you will notice more horsepower...
particularly at mid to higher RPMs, but if you want to
save money just have your stock dist. rebuilt to 100M
spec. Alot of Healey specialist shops will rebuild it
accordingly.

Cheers,

Alan
