Hi Dick, That is certainly a good question. I would think that the engine would decelerate quicker for the same reason that it accelerates quicker. Less rotating mass to overcome. My engine scrubs off RPMs quite nicely with a lighter flywheel. -----Original Message----- What is it about a lightened flywheel that would cause the engine speed to come down slower.
