Gilbert,

I think the answer will depend a lot on what the colours of the hardtop and 
the soft top. A light coloured hardtop I think will be cooler over all than 
a soft top. There is a bit of insulating quality in the layers of a hard top 
with exterior painted fibreglass, then an air space inside before the off 
white head liner.
