Joe,

Part number 22744 is listed for Sprite, TD, TF, and Midget and it is used
in the early '50s, but my catalog only goes up to '62. Close, but no
cigar!!

Cheers,

Doug

Joe,

Absolutely nothing listed in the 1960 Lucas Master Pats Catalog. The
closest part number is 22700, model no. C40.

Cheers,

Curt

My 3000 has a Lucas generator with the following numbers. Do we know
what it is also fitted to;

C.40 R
22746B and date 9.64

This unit is shorter in length than the standard item

Brushes have a screw fixing. What are standard 3000s fitted with?

Interestingly my generator acts as a rev warning when I have the lights
and fog lights on. The lights go dull at certain revs as I think the
brushes which are quite worn lift off the commutator. When I slow a few
hundred revs the famous Lucas brightness returns.
