I set off 5 lb. of Halon in a 32 5 window, perhaps this explains my current
thought patterns. But we also used Halon for onboard engine fires at United
Air Lines and in the computer room. The bottle room guys who maintained such
things told me there were many grades of halon and 1301 which is used for
enclosed areas was not toxic. It did displace Oxygen so you can't breathe it
for long. It dose make a lot of
frost and cool things somewhat. As for Mike Cooks Vega, His fire system got
him out in good shape. The car as I heard it had quite abit of magnesium
in it and as I remember it they used every fire bottle on the lake and the
car still burned to the ground.
Maybe if you think about it you
