Hi
Short thunderstorm went over the salt flats about 5:30 PM and there are
puddles from the two mile marker on. Water at the end of the access road
is about like tuesday of speed week. The salt underneath is hard
according to Gary Allen. This time of the year the normal loss is.33 of
moisture a day from the salt surface so things look just fine for the
race days. I leave for the salt in seven hours but will update weather
conditions on 801-583-3765 if there are any changes that would be of
consequence. Forecast is for 20-30% chance of scattered showers mostly
over the mountains...that's the ones east of Salt Lake and on south.
We're going racing!
Get salt fever!
Wes
