Mike,
John Beckett asked the same when I first made contact with him 'pre list'.
Anything, anywhere can be imported into NZ but at a price. Our dollar is
only worth 50 cents US so everything immediately doubles, on top of that
all imports have a further 12.5% added for Goods & Service tax (GST) plus
freight costs. There are probably 4 to 5 major performance orientated
importing companies in NZ who easily handle our needs, or alternately we
order direct from US companies. Any price in a Summit catalog for example
we generally multiply by 2.5 as a yardstick of the final all inclusive cost
( enough to drive you to Pinto power ). I have just had a lucky break
however. Six mates went over to the World Finals in Pomona, they bought
back all my EFI hardware from BDS. Tourists returning are allowed $700 of
goods at no cost. All this will make it hard to be philosophical if I kick
a rod during a warmup at Speedweek 2001 but we'll be there.

Chris from Taumatawhakatangihangikoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu, New
Zealand.
This is no joke, but actually a place just south of where I live in Napier.
It is the longest place name in the World and interpreted from our native
Maori tongue means: "When Tamatea's brother was killed in a battle near
here, Tamatea climbed this ridge and played a lament on his flute".
