Here's a question that I can't seem to find an answer to in the rulebook.
(Probably not looking hard enough!) What do we do with a car that has a
glass sunroof? I was over to look at my new RX7 project car the other day
and noticed, to my horror, that it has a tinted glass factory sunroof. (I've
raced with this guy for 3 seasons and NEVER noticed before!) SCCA rules
require that they be removed, but that certainly isn't gonna work in LSR.
It doesn't leak, so I'll keep it if I can. I was kinda planning a multiple
hoop drivers cage anyway, which would keep me from being ejected through it.
There's also the option of deleting it entirely and sealing the hole with a
piece of steel from another roof. That would smooth out the slight bump it
creates in the roofline and allow air to pass over the car more cleanly.
Any observations/opinions on this would be appreciated.
