Excellent information Dick, also it's a good idea to take a walk around
every couple of hours and streach the legs and inspect the vehicles
regardless of the weather. I keep a ice chest in the cab and a cool wash
cloth to refresh while driving.
Glen, who has made more trips then I care to count.

Gee Keith and others,
If you have to pull over to take a vfew Zs and
it's either really hot or really cold and you
wish you could sleep with the motor running to
give you air conditioning or heat - as the case
may be - - don't do it. Pull over and take the
nap, but do not leave the motor running. Your cab
can fill with Carbon Monoxide and it will be a
really really long sleep. Under normal driving
conditions, the natural slip stream under the car
sucks the exhaust gases away. When you park,
they build up in ther fender wells, under the
floor etc, and will eventually find their way
into the vehicle. Back in my other life, when I
was a cop, I twice had the distastefull task of
finding people who accidentally ended their lives
just that way after getting stuck on a rural road
during a blizzard. It's better to be a little
more uncomfortable while napping.
