Yishhh! Don't let my wife know that. She spent
a couple of weeks cutting and sewing and
installing door panels, side panels, headliner,
and carpet! Maybe USFRA requires a full interior
for the 130/150 clubs. What about production
classes, John? That's where I think I'm going to
have the Camaro end up, especially if the
proposed, new "Nostalgia" classes come about.
The only thing I can find in the SCTA and ECTA
rule book is: "passenger and rear seat may be
removed....... bucket seats may be used, original
side panel upholstery or equivalent must remain,
.........." I can't find anything about
headliners or carpeting - - or dash padding. Not
having had a chance to look inside any of those
cars, I don't really know what's allowed and what
isn't. Are the aluminum door panels acceptable in
production coupe/sedan too? What about the
headliner? I'd hate to pull out my new headliner
to finish upgrading my cage and then find out I
need it to be class legal.
