Sound advise Bill, some years ago, I spent waaaaayy too much time grinding down
an intake manifold with a body grinder and body files, in my case it was to
build a plate for multiple carbs. It worked but I never got the results
that I was looking for. Do the plate first

Seems to me the easiest route to take would be to make a plate to
match the carb flanges on the 3 deuce manifold that was large enough
for the blower to sit on. May not be perfect as trying to mill away
the top half of the intake but a lot less trouble.
