I had a great post-Turkey Day weekend. It was
nice and sunny and warm after days and days of
miserable cold rain. I got out into the shop and
got my new 3.08 rear end all cleaned up and ready
to install. We'll be painting the housing
tonight, and then this weekend I'll be figuring
out how to get it positioned so that the car can
be about a foot lower than it was. I removed
those 1970s era extended shackles, and I think
I'll slip in some 2" lowering blocks that I have.
That, combined with a panhard bar should get the
back end down and stable.

The front will be easy - light torch - burn off
one coil - put torch away!

That ought to get the car down where it belongs,
'course, all the tires will rub inside the
fenders, so I will have to follow up with a
little body work.

I'll get the new cam and kit in right after
Christmas. Can't do it before 'cause it has to
stay under the tree until then! A couple of
other little items left to tweek and I should be
ready for a return to Maxton in the spring.
