Lowering Blocks

Who has used lowering blocks on the rear leaf
springs of an LSR car, and with what results?  I
am considering using 2" blocks on the rear of my
Camaro, with all new polygraphite bushings. A
couple of guys have contacted me and said that
they were bad news.  Anybody got any other
expereinces with blocks?
