I am not sure that the Fuelling team were operating under FIM sanction for
the runs where they took away one rear wheel after trying for a car record.
The AMA may have been able to give their sanction to a three wheeler with
two driven wheels. This attempt is on film but it is not clear as to their
method of running - car and bike (with two sanctioning organisations
present) or just car sanction.
For obvious resons - a two wheeler is a totally different beast to ride -
Denis Manning and Team Maximum Impulse only recognise the Easyrider record
as the bike mark to aim at. Denis needs some better luck and the record
will be his in the near future.
Can anyone fill in the details of the three wheel streamliner attempt?
