Just to set the record straight...I do not have Hilborn's car. i posted that
comment in order to stimulate conversation and hopefully uncover the
lakester. i wish i did own this piece of history, in order to preserved it
in a museum. it is considered the "Holy Grail" of hot rodding/lakes history
to some. i hope it does not end up at the recycling center as scrap (unless
it has already been made into a pepsi can). It was one of the first (as far
as the photo-literature would present) "finished" race cars of the time.
Very fine detail. i am looking for it, as well as many other people, hoping
to find the hidden treasure that hopefully is not "buried" in someone
else's's field!
