The Bonneville Racing News got a request for any information on Jimmy Enz
or his partner Don Sliger. All I could do was check the Two Club roster.
Anyone have records from the 60's or memories to share with this racer's
daughter? I've included her reply to me below and have addressed this to
her too. I hope hitting 'reply to all' will also send your comments to her.

Thank you kindly for looking. I too checked the roster, and if I remember
right, Dad did not make a return run as he went into a power-wobble and
threw the chain and tread off the rear tire. There was a man named "Otto"
that worked the timing tower then, but that was a nickname. (Otto's auto
didn't auto like it ought to, cuz Otto didn't use Autolite spark plugs, was
a joke kind of cliche that the guys teased him with.) My Dad worked for
Shell Motors, in Lynwood California. Shell and Maggie Tuit owned the
motorcycle shop. For Jimmy Enz info, the years would be 1963-1966. After
Jimmy died, Don Sliger "inherited" the twin engine Enfield, and he modified
the bike, and he too made some kind of an impressive run for the time
period. If I remember right, Jimmy Enz was an "Honorable Mention" or
"Honorary Member" of the 200 MPH Club. The other high point I recall as a
little girl was, there was a man from New Zealand that used to come to
Bonneville every year, and he would stay at our house, and wed drive to
Bonneville together. I don't recall his name...
If you know of anybody that was active in the races back then, please send
them my name and email address, or refer me to a source of information for
that time period. The other names that ring a bell of the time, are Don
Vesco, Art Arfons, Craig Breedlove (who I didn't know), Don Mc Covey, Burt
Monroe, Burke Lesage... to name a few. I sure appreciate any help you can
assist with ... Again, Many thanks! Lynn
