I think she was talking what happens when someone is really experienced at
what they are doing and is totally focused on the moment.

For example, when I was learning to be a white-water river guide some years
ago the experienced guides talked about how eventually time would seem to
slow down on the river. As a trainee things always seemed to happen way to
fast for me to react, and I must have hit every single rock sticking up in
that river. At the beginning of the week I'd close my eyes at night and see
all those rocks coming right at me. But, eventually, with experience and
time my guiding became more and more ingrained and I didn't hardly even
notice those rocks anymore, and sure didn't sweat over them. I was now
gliding by them with my attention focused much farther down the river on
things that were more important.

So, I think that with experience you don't have to spend as much time
thinking about the basics. And that allows you to be more totally focused
on the moment, and more focused on the things that matter most.
