I was told the 183 CI motor was a 1958 Chev industrial 265 block, sleeved to
3 liters for that FIA class break.  I thought he switched to the 4 Cyl.
configuration after that 313 mph run.  The headers that came into HPC for
coating at the time of the switch were obviously used on all eight
cylinders.  I'll contact Donny and ask ... he has been on Fred's crew for
the last few years.  Gary can you add something on this?  You're pitted next
to him every year.
