The real deal is we burn too much gas isn't it?? Wouldn't you think that 
what
they really need to do is discourage the purchase of anything that gets less
than 25 mpg?? Like the moron that has an SUV and uses it to get a loaf of 
bread
at 12 mpg??? At 25 mpg a corvette would be able to make it so it does not 
rule
out performance just the gas hogs that blot out the sun due to their hulking
presence. How many people own these that really have a need for something 
the
size of a ford Expedition, and even worse the clowns that drive half of them
think the road just became their personal playground and think because they 
have
4wd they can go as fast as they want in any conditions. at least that's the 
way
it is out on the right coast......
