Modified Sports allows a rear wing if the car is fitted with one as
standard from the dealer. The rule book does not mention whether the wing
fitted to Mod Sports has to be the same size shape or material as the
standard fitment. Nor does it say where its attachment or position must
be.....therefore I could hang it rearwards and higher from the body to move
the CoP. Or could I?
The Mod Sports rules concerning wings states that the wing must be O.E.M. That
would indicate that the wing must be as offered. That would include material,
size, shape and mounting. The proof that the wing is indeed O.E.M. is
incumbant on the entrant.
Where a wing is not allowed (non-O.E.M.) a spoiler meeting the specs as called
out in the rulebook is allowed.
