Howdy,
This thread is telling about how people can help one another,
right now I have a situation, and my friends are helping, my new girlfriend
ran the Pig,(76 chevy truck) 30 hiway miles with no water in it, 44 days
before Speed Week, this weekend I have 5 people helping pull the old engine
and installing the donated Jasper engine with 25000 m. into the Pig. One
of the guys said I should just keep working on the bike to get it ready,
and let them do the truck.....Damn, friends like that make me humble and
proud at the same time.
I have found in the past that the people at the Salt are the same
way...always willing to help, be they racer or spectator....Ernie Sanchez
is one of those people, in '96 he was a spectator, and stopped and helped,
I got him pretty dirty working hard, but he has been coming out as part of
my pit crew ever since. I wouldn't have been able to set my records without
him and the other racers who have helped me out there on the Salt. For
those unnamed friends and racers thanks again....drive careful
