1. The Salt is wetter in the morning then it is in the afternoon.? ( I
think this is true.... any decenters?

I was always under the impression that the salt was wetter in the afternoon.
After the sun beats on it for a while and the water rises to the surface
through osmosis(sp). Remember that the surface of the lake bed is reputed to
be formed by the salt crystals growing upwards.
