Hi all,
I have a friend who would like to run a locked rear end in his street
roadster. He has a Halibrand V-8 QC with 50's Ford/Merc axles and ends. As I
remember this involves machining the later model spider gears to fit into
the QC ring gear carrier. Does anyone know who might make or have made a
spool for this rear end? I remember spider gears with only one or two teeth
cut in them used instead of welding the spiders but I think they were for
early type rear ends only. I would hate to have to tell him to weld up the
spiders. It would probably work (H class engine) but it ain't very elegant.
Any thoughts?
