If you stay up and work on your vehicle
all night, alot less stuff comes up missing

the town is freaky

but

its like the plaque my wife put up
"he loves me, he loves me not,
makes no difference, I'm what
he's got"

The most secure place is on the salt,
but beyond that, an alarm system
may be the only other good option

We stay at the motel 6, and I can
vouch that the police come through
the lot MANY times through the night
I often leave alot of stuff strewn out
next to the trailer, which is also often
unlocked, while I get alittle shut eye
and only dumb luck can explain why
I have not gotten taken yet
BUT with that said, the motel 6 has a
history of things coming up missing
out of the rooms, this year Lana of
Finish Line coatings, had her airplane
ticket come up missing, she spoke at
length with the front desk, nothing, she
asked for them to phone the police, and
they went in back, came out sporting
her airplane ticket in about 90 seconds

sorry for your loss

Maybe you could ask about getting
one of those spots marked out
with cones in front of the stateline

unfortunately, it likely wouldnt make
much difference, as the criminal types
permeate everything and probably the
front desk, security, and police
