Hi Dick,

Right around 700 FPS, or 475 MPH.  That's rotation speed.  On the advancing
side of the rotor, at maximum forward speed (Vne), it's about 650 MPH; on
the retreating side it's only about 300 MPH.  As you can see from that,
helicopter aerodynamics get pretty complicated, pretty fast.
