(builder of the car that Earl Wooden walked away from after a nasty 290 mph+

I was going back through my Speedweek 2001 pictures and saw the #614 Vega.
I was hoping somebody could tell me more about the car. Owner, power plant,
weight speed.
There was also a belly tank lakester #119 in the pits for sale. Anybody
still have the persons name and number that was trying to sell it?
