Had a chat with a jubilant Terry Nish yesterday.  New car, good runs, top
time of the meet, happy racers.  They have worked very hard for a year to
get the car to where it is today and the preparation paid off.  They wanted
to get it on the ground this season ... made the last possible meet.  The
careful preparation paid off.  Exactly what Terry Hunt and Dave Dahlgren
have said.  Now they have all winter to finish the cosmetic things and
details that were not part of the race performance.  Watching the care that
has gone into the car over the period of construction has been impressive.
I'm excited about seeing it run now because they have solved  a high
percentage of "future" problems by doing it right the first time.

Terry and Mike both drove the car and felt good about the way it handled.
So did the watchers/inspectors at El Mirage.  And this was the "shakedown
engine."  Terry was there when the Summers Brothers set that 409 mph record
... and now he wants it himself!

They'll have a happy Thanksgiving at the Nish home as we will at the
Potter's.  I hope all of you have a pleasant, peaceful holiday season and
look forward to the New Year with hope and love.
