The Max Lambky 'liner is leased to a group of Vincent
enthusiasts in Vancouver, British Columbia. They had
the engines on Don Vesco's dyno, when one engine backfired
and broke a mainshaft and the drive between the engines.
The engines at that time were pretty much as they were
built by Max. Upon breaking down the engines, other
problems were found, so both engines are being completely
rebuilt. They hope to have it ready for 2002.

I was told that Don Vesco would have been the driver this
year if the 'liner was in shape to run, and that Don was
hoping for a double - fastest wheel driven records on
two wheels and four, set the same year.

Rumor has it that there may be a few other Vincents at
Speed Week next year, besides the liner and Dave Matson
(assuming Dave runs next year).

Another rumor is that the crazy rule that a Vincent does
not qualify for the push rod class might change.

Hi John,
You mention the english wheel; here's a shot of one, and Michael is always
helpful
if you need info.

There are lots of other things on the site; double-engine Vincent streamliner!
etc. (Max Lambky's; still around?)
