Once again the false information on a speed attained by the late Mickey
Thompson is repeated.
John Cobb - 14th September 1947 - return run mile average Speed 403.135
mph. This was a back up run to give a two way average speed of 394.196 mph
Mickey Thompson - 9th September 1960 - outward run mile average 406.60mph.
This run was not backed up.
On my reckoning 1947 is some 13 years BEFORE 1960.
