Sitting here with hardly anything to do, I came up with this brilliant idea!
How about an award for the worst idea, hardest luck story, etc for dumb ass
things that us list folk do in our racing attempts? Something that should
have been flushed down the dumper before it was even tried? This award would
be awarded annually at the salt talks. The award should be of little
intrinsic value except to laugh at ouselves and poke a bit of fun. I have
the perfect trophy base and would be more than happy to design and build a
little replaceable insert for each years recipient. Are you game? Let me
know, and I'll send out a note asking each list member to describe some dumb
idea that they or someone they know did last year. I'll then compile the
list leaving out the donors name and send it out to all for voting on. Maybe
Jon could make it a poll question on the web site even. Then I'll build
something appropriate for presentation at the salt talks...
