Nolan White, who sure has paid his dues with that car,
and J.D. Tone and son for putting a GMC powered highboy
into the 2 club.
Here is how the week went for Logan & Dincau .

Check out run, shut off after first mile. Pulled the pan to
check the rods on this and all subsequent runs.

Engine shut itself off, manifold pressure line leaking,
small fire burned coil wires.

Shut off in 2nd mile. Vacuum modulator can on glide
unscrewed itself, oil everywhere.
Changed trans as precaution.

Springs or too rich? Changed springs but not tune up

As you see it nosed over in the last mile. It was however
qualified for a record run. We couldn't make the return
as when we pulled the pan in impound we found a spun
rod bearing. We didn't want to chance a grenade so we
put it in the trailer.
Actually we had a great week, ran for six days, qualified
for record runs (a first), and didn't bring it home in a bag.
270 MPH on straight alcohol pushing an open wheeled
pointy brick with a PSI blower hanging out in the breeze
ain't too bad for a couple of old farts.
The entire state of Oregon must be on fire there was a
smoky haze from Ely all the way to home.
