Yes, Jack goes fast in that front engine "digger" but like you say it has to
be push started.  His Bonneville streamliner was started with a ROPE and
both he and his son Brett went over 220 in that car.  (Now the little Jaz
streamliner owned by Wade Zimmerman, originally built by the Burklands.)
Brett still holds the class record he set in 1994 at 220.932.  He made all
his licensing and qualifying runs and got the record in one busy Saturday.
They had a back up engine in the snowmobile that was on top of their pickup
truck.  That was a strange site on the salt.

Jack also did the paint on the very last car Ed "Big Daddy" Roth built.  His
shop does some very nice custom paint work.
