Yeah, pan around to the gap between the stadium and the tall building to the
left (East) of the picture ... I'm just over a mile on a straight line from
the camera and the edge of the building.

We BYU fans refer to that stadium as Rice Chex Stadium ... the only time it
fills is for the BYU game every other year and for events like the Olympics.
They are building a mini park just to the south west of the stadium and will
re-install the Olympic Flame Cauldron near where it was for the games last
February.

Nice things about living here are; the nine ski areas within an hours drive
from my back door. The salt flats are 95 minutes away. With six four year
universities within eighty minutes drive there's lots of concerts and other
activities going on. The Utah Symphony, Ballet West, Utah Opera Co., Mormon
Tabernacle Choir, Jazz at the Sheraton concert series are all fifteen
minutes. Then, for the fly fishermen, there's three great trout streams in
the same drive area as the ski resorts.

I had lunch today with Tom Erekson who headed up the BYU electric race car
team. They were given one of the EVO 1 cars by GM and intend to use it as a
student project, quarter mile car, at the drag races. The car has a Cd of
.19! Too bad the extra batteries and bracing needed for a salt flats car
would be prohibitive from a weight standpoint.

Plenty of things to do.
