There are several books about the early lakes days. Albert Drake FLAT OUT,
Tom Medley, Hot Rod History, Tex Smith The Hot Rod history the glory years,
 as well as several others. Unless you want just Bill Burke these are all
good reading. Another is Muroc, when the hot rods ran.
