All, there's an article in DragRacing USA (August 2001 Vol 15 No 1) on the
use of cryogenics when applied to racing engines/parts, the basic premise
being: when they (engine parts) are reduced in temp to -300f the molecular
structure is re-arranged and stabilised and hence becomes "stronger".
It makes for interesting reading.
If you can't find a copy and want to read it, let me know and I'll try and
scan a copy to you (hope their lawyers aren't list members!!)
