I sent this ahwile back and never saw it come thru..
so if it did I apologize, but wanted to make sure I
responded to Katie and give all the dads credit that
may read it. Also Katie, most of us want to claim we
have a non-racing life... but it tends to show in our
offspring as they grow, and not wanting to talk to
those that fail to understand what we're talking about
even if they have no interest in racing, and pushing
the cart thru the grocery store, and.. well you know
the dedal. So, conratulations on Carmen... may sure
turn out with as much to be greatful as you are. ;-)

Very impressive Katie, yes hopefully we'll meet
someday(salt on my mind of course as I've never been
there). Congradulations on your records and outlook.
Kudos to your Dad and great relationship.
My dad(71 yrs old now) grew up racing with Art Arfons
and some other guys up the road from our house I grew
up in at the Akron rubber bowl before Art went on to
burning pole barns down :-). Although my dad never got
into LSR I grew up on motorcycles and learning V-8
horsepower tricks from him that would eventually
become reliability tricks for me on harleys I work on
today. First time he came to Maxton he got to see me
get in the ECTA200MPH Club(thanx to Keith Turk and
Todd Brooks) on a Busa and it was sooo cool to see the
sparkle in his eyes talking to Scott Guthrie and some
of the guys about alot of names he new from so many
years ago. Today he just rides his '51 Indian Chief
and restores cars personally for himself(best was the
'67 chevelle he got a 2nd place for at a natianal
chevelle AMA show, and is now doing a '35 ford(has
done a couple hotrod style in the last 10 years
including a '64 and '72 vette also).
Thanx for the bio... and Here's to Dad's everywhere
that keep the fire alive in their kids.
Todd- (top speed of 207.455mph)(shooting for 150mph on
my 1000cc open gas pushrod bike this year)
