Seems that a 400 'chapter' or 'club' might cause too many (as evidenced in
this group) to focus on other aspects of what is involved, rather than the
intention of honoring a great 'wheeldriven' racer.
I suggested an award in Don's memory and now feel that this alone should be
pursued, if the family supports this idea. Don would be its first
recepient as well as its inspiration and as inspiration for those who gain
the record at a later time.
Contact me directly if there are any views that I should take on board and
what form the 'trophy' might take. Financing it will come later......
