Good job, Santa Wes!

Wish I could have been a fly on the wall.

We did it! A couple of pickups instead of a sled and reindeer but we don't
have much snow so that's all right. Dan and Kris Wright played the elves.
We delivered the VD-R recorder, cards flowers and cash to Cris to buy
recordable discs with. She was stunned! There were hugs, tears, smiles and
more than anything just a speechless Cris. She usually doesn't lack for
words but this managed to do the job.

She will have a ball tonight going through the cards and reading the return
addresses. I'd like to be a fly on the wall for that.

More than anything she expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to
this nice gift. I'd like to thank everyone for the privilege of being the
one to deliver the recorder. I just wish you all could have been there with
us to enjoy her stunned reaction. It's people like all of you who make this
sport such a delight to be involved with year in and year out. Thank you.

Dan took pictures and will post them on the picture post at the landspeed
home page very soon.

Keith, this was just a great idea. Thanks to you for everything.

To all of you, Happy Holidays! My wish for you is a warm, snug spot to
enjoy the season and a special reminder of the reason we celebrate this
holiday in the first place. I really enjoy the association with all of you.
Thanks for your friendship.

See you on the salt!

Wes
