of snow up this way ...... OH, to live once again in sunny California !
The 'America' email I forwarded to you ..... it was one of those
things
that get forwarded and retreaded from pillar to post, and I haven't the
slightest clue about what Florida newspaper might have mentioned it .......
I admit to being riled up over any American official agency backing up
just to be PC over something as absurd as a person getting their photo
ID done with only their eyes showing !!!! I concur with the thoughts of the
writer ....... for Damned Sure !!!
I hope you are pretty well all mended up from your cycle testing
episode, and that every day brings you some rewards, whether big or little !
I would like to imagine you are also already involved in the sister
version
to your Wonderful Bonneville Tome ( TRULY THE BOOK to All Us LSR Lovers !!!)
....... this one just shifting locale slightly southwesterly to the Dry Lakes
of Southern California !!! C'mon Louise, we all need to know much more
about the fabulous escapades of the Thirties and Forties on all those lakes,
and about Albata ..... Russetta ..... Karl & Veda Orr ..... Cal-Neva Timing,
the overnight stays, sleeping on the lakebed next to a roadster, and the
earlyday heroics of people like the Chrismans and Lou Baney and Sir
Mickey and Stu Hilborn, Ak Miller and Akmo, and that long, long list of
alkali dust covered hotrodders seeking speed and mechanical satisfaction,
fun and fame on the lake-beds that truly spawned this whole hotrodding
thing that consumes so many of us !
